Ryans the tobacconist has an almost 4-decade history. Formerly known as Barkers and based on Vicar lane in Leeds, relocating to it now location on The Headrow some 15 year ago. It was on Vicar Lane where Michael Barker would trade as a traditional tobacconist for many years in an era where snuff sold as much as tobacco. Chewing Tobacco, Snuff of various natures and tobacco related products were very much the norm of the day, today may be less so.

 

Yet it still trades today with albeit different public habit and preferences with the same dedicated professionalism and customer service employed throughout its extensive history. Michael Barker still visits the store till today. Ryans has evolved with time hopefully to provide you with the same great service online as it has done in store for almost 40 years. We are now the sole traditional and modern tobacconist left in Leeds after the closure of last competitor in 2018.
